About TIS National

TIS National helps remove language barriers to support equitable participation in Australian life. Provided by the Department of Home Affairs, TIS has a long history of connecting community to essential services and organisations. We are unique as Australia’s only language service offering free, inbound access to NAATI-certified phone interpreters for people with limited English. Available 24/7 across more than 160 languages. Clients and practitioners can self-manage jobs through TIS Online.

TIS National also provides the Free Translating Service and the Free Interpreting Service.
